I am not saying this happened. I don’t know who or why the photos of celebrities was where hacked over an extended period of time and then published but the effect of this was to reduce Apple’s market cap by more than $26 billion dollars (4%). It would not have been too difficult to figure out that one of the effects of publishing all these photos would be driving down the stock price. Someone smart enough to do this would be smart enough to create a hedging strategy so they could isolate Apple from the general market. Just saying…… And let me repeat myself just in case the FBI likes to read my blog, I don’t know anything.
By the way, I am excited to see what Apple announces on the 9th. In particular, I am interested in the iWatch (what I call the iBand) and to see how well my predictions which have been published here, hold up. I will do a comparison after the event.
