The war between Israel and Iran has started, and Israel is loosing

The war between Israel and Iran has started, and Israel is loosing

I don’t know this, but I believe that Iran orchestrated the war between Hamas and Israel that started on Oct. 7th. I don’t think that the leaders of Hamas were capable of planning what happened.

Someone laid a trap that Israel fell into. It was planned over years. The idea was to do exactly what happened on Oct. 7th. Someone realized that the young Hamas fighters (really terrorists is a better word) could be unleashed to do the most horrendous things; cutting babies out of wombs, gang raping women until the pelvis broke, raping dead women and even children, cutting off the limbs of children in front of their parents, and mutilating dead bodies. The list goes on and on. They realized that the hopeless and indoctrinated youth of Gaza longed for martyrdom as the only way to get out of the hell hole that was Gaza.

They knew that Israel, confronted with the horrors of Oct. 7th, would have to bomb and then invade Gaza. They knew that even though Israel would not target civilians, there was no way that civilians would not be killed or injured. That did not matter to those responsible for Oct. 7th, including the Iranian leadership. Their mission was to turn the world against Israel. And they succeeded. They feared that Israel was becoming more and more powerful and would soon see a significant expansion of its relationship with other Arab countries, especially Saudi Arabia.

Israel is seen in Iran as the little Satan, while its big brother, the USA, is the big Satan. A stronger Israel meant a more substantial American presence in the Middle East.

The intellectually bankrupt government of Israel led by Nethanyhu was focused on dividing the country with its judicial reforms that would have, for all intent and purpose, ended democracy. Netanyahu could only stay in power by catering to the most extreme aspects of Israeli politics. He unleashed the settlers who longed for a Greater Israel (Israel from the sea to the river). But Netanyahu had only won by 30,000 votes. And once in power, he lost some of the support of rational, although right-wing voters. He presided over the weakest government in the history of Israel. One that is weaker and weaker every day and is not capable of dealing with the current situation.

Hatred for Israel’s treatment of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza had been growing for years. While I understand the responsibility for the Palestinian situation has to be laid on both sides, with the Palestinian Authority being inept, corrupt, and pretty much on the payroll of the Israeli government and with Hamas, a brutal, medieval authoritarian government committed to the distortion of Israel. But much of the responsibility belongs to the Israeli people who accepted the situation, kicking the can down the street for decades. And much of the responsibility belongs to the UN, a useless organization, that created a culture of refugees.

In my opinion, Israel should have waited before attacking Gaza. They should have sealed off Gaza. They should have offered a prisoner exchange. They should have called on the other nations to work with them to remove Hamas. Failing that, they should have worked on a plan to evacuate Gaza and flooded the tunnels with water or poisoned air.

Now, the world has turned against Israel. Antisemitism abounds. Israel has been seriously weakened. Its economy is suffering significantly. Its reputation as a power has been diminished. The good news is the people, not the government, are united. At some point, can’t be soon enough, Nethanyhu and his band of incompetent ministers will be thrown out. Hopefully, there will be new leadership, maybe from the movement developed to stop the judicial overhaul. But I don’t see how Israel can easily recover.

What does that mean for the rest of the world? The bad guys appear to be winning. Russia and Iran show the power that comes if you don’t give a shit what people think about you and you don’t give a shit about the lives of your people.

Iran will not stop with Israel. I think Biden knows this.

  1. Iran has been planning this for a long time.

American students have been radicalized about Israel for the last 30 + years. It is no shock to me to see what’s happening in the streets of Europe and the USA. I’m not geo-political expert but I do think Hamas is a deep cancer that needs to be eradicated.

I strongly urge you (and everyone that reads this) to listen to the following podcast. I think it’s on target and very informative: https://www.thefp.com/p/a-world-spinning-out-of-control-521#details

Stay strong Avram. It’s only going to get worse.
